After more than five decades at Markham Road and Brimorton, The Real McCoy was forced to close its original Scarborough location in late 2022 to make way for a new residential development. The news hit our community hard—regulars lined up to say goodbye to a place that had been part of their daily routines and family traditions since 1969.
Today, we’re proud to share the next chapter of our story: The Real McCoy has officially reopened at 3300 Lawrence Avenue East at Bellamy Road North in Scarborough. Our new home keeps the same spirit and menu you know—charbroiled Mojo burgers, classic pizzas, and crispy onion rings—now in a refreshed space designed to welcome generations of guests to come.
On reopening day, the celebration felt more like a homecoming than a grand opening, with balloons, music, speeches, hugs, and a lineup of customers waiting outside by 9 a.m. That turnout reminded us that The Real McCoy is more than a restaurant; it’s a Scarborough landmark that belongs to the community as much as it does to our family.
